The Powell Liberty Historical Society
invites you to our February 13th program:
“The Assassination, the Funeral Train Trip,
and the Funeral of President Abraham Lincoln”
With visual displays and artifacts from the assassination, the funeral train and the funeral of Mr. Lincoln. Other artifacts include campaign and inauguration ribbons, buttons, cdv photos, prints and more.

Mr. Ward's contributions and highlights of his community involvement include:
Hilltop Historical Society, founding member and current board member. Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Patriotic Instructor, Color Guard, and bugler. Volunteer for Ohio Historical Society for more than 30 years. Participant in programs and first-person character presentations at the Ohio Village. Presenter of programs on Lincoln and the Civil War to many groups in Ohio. Participant in Civil War reenacting. Assisted the Ohio Historical Society with appraising and cataloging the political and G.A.R. artifacts collection. Entered data for the National Park Service website: The Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System. Served as an extra in the filming of the Ted Turner movie Gettysburg.
