June 5th marks the kick-off of the fourth “Downtown Powell Farmers Market” season which runs until October 16. From 3:00-6:00pm every Thursday, shoppers can buy fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, honey and bee-products, organics, herbs, delicious home-made baked goods, beautiful plants, flowers, greenery, and more. Local artisans and crafters have joined many favorite and new farmers for the Thursday Powell market. Also new this year is its relocation to the newly renovated and expanded City of Powell Municipal Building parking lot at 47 Hall Street with over 100 free parking spaces. Now accepting Senior Nutrition Vouchers offered by the Council for Older Adults of Delaware County. Free admission; every Thursday; markets held rain or shine. Daily farmers may participate if arriving by 2:00pm. 2.
